StratoFusion / Policies & transparency

Fair Use Policy

This Fair Use Policy explains StratoFusion's transfer-cap model, reset windows, provider-side limits, and quota enforcement behavior.

Why These Limits Exist

StratoFusion uses background transfer and upload systems so customers can move files reliably between connected cloud accounts and complete browser-based uploads. Those systems have real operating costs, so each subscription plan includes clear daily and monthly data transfer caps.

[Technical note: some uploads may pass through temporary cloud proxy infrastructure to work around provider/browser limitations.]

There are no surprise overage fees. When a cap is reached, transfer operations pause until the next reset window.

When an Unlimited user reaches the top-tier cap, the Jobs page shows retry and support actions instead of an upgrade prompt because there is no higher self-serve tier.

Plan Limits

Free

  • Data Transfer: 1 GB/day, 10 GB/month.

Pro

  • Data Transfer: 50 GB/day, 200 GB/month.

Unlimited

  • Data Transfer: 500 GB/day, 15 TB/month.

Why Unlimited Still Has a Daily Upload Cap

  • High-volume transfer traffic has a real bandwidth and infrastructure cost.
  • Some storage providers already enforce their own daily upload limits and file-size rules.
  • A 500 GB/day application cap keeps the Unlimited plan commercially sustainable without creating unbounded infrastructure risk.
  • The cap is still large enough for typical power-user workflows like media libraries, team backups, and archival uploads.

What Counts

  • Browser uploads into connected cloud accounts.
  • Browser download preparation and managed download delivery [including temporary proxy-assisted downloads where required].
  • Copy, move, backup, and sync runs when size can be estimated.
  • Cross-provider operations count once toward the shared data transfer allowance.

Reset Windows

  • Daily caps reset at 00:00 UTC.
  • Monthly caps reset at 00:00 UTC on the first day of the next month.

Provider Limits Still Apply

  • Connected storage providers may apply their own upload limits, throttling rules, and file-size restrictions before StratoFusion limits do.
  • Published provider limits can change over time and may differ by provider, account type, or region.
  • Example: some providers publish daily upload caps or maximum file sizes for individual accounts.

StratoFusion cannot bypass provider-imposed storage, throttling, or file-size restrictions.

Monitoring And Enforcement

  • Billing shows live daily and monthly usage.
  • The app warns at 80% usage.
  • API requests hard-block at 100%.
  • Cost monitoring runs daily and alerts when projected transfer-infrastructure spend crosses the configured threshold [for example, proxy bandwidth usage].

Need More?

If you need sustained throughput above these limits, the right answer is a custom plan with dedicated bandwidth and a negotiated quota envelope.
